Fortunately, there is a growing community of those who feel and think that in serving one another we serve ourselves and all of humanity. One such thought leader was born 55 years ago in a small town in Yeola. Dr. Umesh Roopchandji Tated was born to Mr. Roopchandji Tated and Mrs. Kamlabai Tated. Despite losing his parents at a very young age, he graduated with a degree in LCEH from the University of Pune in 1986, against all odds. He set up his own clinic in Aurangabad in 1987 and began his first entrepreneurial journey. He set out with a vision to provide quality healthcare to even the poorest of people. In 1993 with an investment of a mere 2.5 lakh rupees (collective savings of the entire family) and a whole lot of hope, Roop Industries was born. A company that would fall under RGI 25 years later and become a brand that would change lives. As the idea took shape, Roop Industries found a base in Aurangabad. It was there that this company found it's first customers and dealers. But the biggest task for any manufacturer is to achieve scale. Over the next 20 years, he set up 3 more factories and the rest is a story of success! Dr. Umesh Roopchandji Tated believes that Discipline, Determination, and Perseverance make great Entrepreneurs. But a great Entrepreneur coupled with Foresight sustains the Enterprise.
